Cynthia Stepien is a graduate of New York University TV and Film Department. She had also studied literature at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, and media and globalization at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. She has done editing workshops in Florence, Italy under the supervision of Sam Pollard, Spike Lee’s talented editor. She had continued her education at the prestigious Lodz Film School, which alumni include Roman Polanski, Andrew Wajda, Krzysztof Kieslowski, amongst several other Oscar winners.
Stepien directs, shots, and edits all her videos. She uses Canon HD cameras and edits on Final Cut Pro. Her works have been showcased in several international video and film festivals. She has taken part in media conferences in Norway, Germany, and Greece. She has filmed on location all over USA, Europe, and Asia. In addition, she has taught classes on all the steps of video production: script writing, storyboarding, proper shooting techniques, music selection, and editing.
Her education and experience has led her to work in several leading entertainment companies. Cynthia has a vast background in working in all areas of production, from live concerts to sporting events. Her employers include: NBA Entertainment, Oprah Winfrey’s Oxygen Channel, CBS’s Guiding Light, Live Custom Concerts with Alanis Morissette, Sarah McLachlan, Goo Goo Dolls, amongst documentaries for Bravo and the Learning Channel. Likewise, she had co-produced a weekly community television show in NYC, which included interviewing top celebrities, politicians, and athletes. Recently, she has worked on a documentary for the European Union in Greece and the Board of Tourism in Portugal.
